- Integration and evaluation of results -

The aim this task consists in the articulation of the whole information gathered, analyzed and validated in the context of Tasks 1 to 7. Thus, it is intended to achieve a global synthesis of the outcomes obtained through the crossing of the data analysis using different sources of information and different research methodologies for the study of the environmental and cultural dynamics, which have affected the region of Braga between Late Iron Age and the end of Late Antiquity.

A first approach to the overall results should take into account the dynamics and rhythms of the landscape anthropization with regard to the urban space and the rural areas.

The second approach will address over the relationship between city and countryside and about the way in which both realities are articulated. We look forward to determine the city’s link with the suburban area and its relationship with the rural territory, aiming to understand the interactions between those spaces in the long term.

A third approach is related with the rhythms of development of urban and rural landscapes and the way in which the morphologies of both entities have evolved. The aim is thus to emphasize the evolution of urban topography throughout the time with its phases of expansion and contracting and to check the changes that have occurred in the rural landscape organization.

Another approach will focus on a methodological analysis concerning the indicators of urban and rural landscapes that might to be considered significant to measure the dynamics of cultural changes.
